As technology continues to democratize digital world-building, the pendulum is swinging decisively back toward IRL experiences. Conceived, strategized, and creatively directed by Something Special Studios, the reimagining of Target’s SoHo location reflects a clear point of view on the future of physical retail.
Bednark was trusted as the technical design and fabrication lead—making Something Special Studios’ vision real. Sculptural architectural moments anchor the fashion and beauty departments, delivering spatial impact while maintaining the clarity and efficiency required for a consumer-first experience.
The underlying system enables both product modularity and structural adaptability, allowing elements to move in and out of the space to support seasonal storytelling and evolving in-store programming—without compromising retail performance or operational efficiency.
This is the kind of work Bednark is designed to do: bringing ambitious creative vision to life through rigorous technical design, precision engineering, and execution—at the true intersection of architectural innovation and experiential marketing.
